Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) has signed an agreement with the European Union (EU) to combat illegal immigration, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on Sunday.
Under the deal, the European Union will offer Egypt a grant worth EUR 27 million under its strategy to limit illegal immigration through creating jobs and financing the establishment of SMEs.
The agreement covers 11 governorates, namely Beheira, Sharkia, Dakahlia, Gharbiya, Qaliubiya, Menofia, Kafr El-Sheikh, Minya, Assiut, Fayoum, and Luxor, the executive director of MSMEDA, Nevine Gamea, said.
